TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

Snow fountain cherries around the church and along Mound Road bloomed in mid-April as did some daffodils in the flower boxes.

 of Jesus and a dove depicting the Holy Spirit over Jesus' head

Just below Jesus are two relief sculptures Mary and Joseph

This Celtic cross is right at the peak of the church roof over the Mound Road entrance.

Looking south on Mound you can see northbound cars stopped for a red light at Chicago.  In the background, almost 14 miles away is GM's headquarters in the Renaissance Center.

Our message board declares  that we have a pope and expresses our prayer for him.	The blooming snow fountain cherry tree  and the pillars frame the center door on  Mound Road which is draped with yellow and white bunting in honor of Pope Benedict's election.
